"Wake Up"
Hook:
Feels good to wake up to a sunny blue sky
say goodbye to the moon night is short in July
stretch my arms high wipe the dust from my eyes
smile wide, start a new day and I rise
Feels good to wake up to a sunny blue sky
say goodbye to the moon night is short in July
stretch my arms high wipe the dust from my eyes
smile wide, everyday's a new surprise
Verse:
Outa bed so long dream land of bliss,
brush my teeth then put on some old shorts and kicks,
wanna eat but discipline first is how it is,
so I start to loosen up and practice Lo Han Fist,
no Tai Chi today it takes an hour,
in a hurry so I rush and take a shower,
grab some clean gear gotta roll out now or
I'm late, hop my bike, I pedal like flowers
to the diner, gonna meet the homie Keen for breakfast,
used to see him everyday now it's rare we reflect, it's
important, keep your bonds connected,
plus we working on an album gotta run the checklist,
refreshed with morning breeze on my face,
no time to waste but I ease up my pace,
take in my surroundings, attention to detail,
a family push a stroller past the windows of retail
stores, door opens catch the sight of a female
staring at her phone maybe checking her email
or text, blows a bubble
as she stroll down the sidewalk and jumps over a puddle,
I chuckle, but time for a shortcut,
underneath the bridge new tags contort what
you would call letters into masterpieces,
see a bench outside the diner and that's where Keen sits,
so I give my brother daps,
it's been at least a minute since we seen each other last,
he got a snap back cap, jeans black, a Nirvana tee,
he always got jokes doing stand up comedy,
and spits it like a llama see, so easily,
can't wait to hear what it is he's written recently,
we walk inside, see my favorite waitress and smile,
grab a table in the corner gonna be here for awhile
Hook:
Feels good to wake up to a sunny blue sky
say goodbye to the moon night is short in July
stretch my arms high wipe the dust from my eyes
smile wide, start a new day and I rise
Feels good to wake up to a sunny blue sky

"Over Crooks"
Hook:
I'm overcrooks and feeble minds they can shove it,
take a stance find your bearings rise above it,
some grind so hard they end up off the rails,
5-0 search in ghetto birds and throw em in jail,
as the power slides the pressure flips them off the edge,
couldn't ride it smooth no wax on the ledge,
to be blunt 50/50 chance they in fact lie
cuz they only looking out for their own backside
Verse 1:
back to the crib, change gears the skate park
is where it's at especially when homies gonna take part,
denim jeans loose t-shirt nonchalant and
is it blue Dunk Lows or Lakai Marc Johnsons
take the latter doesn't matter too much in the end
put my board Fred Gall in the trunk yet again,
for years either Alien Workshop or Habitat,
I pull out the driveway thinking back and back,
lots of service trucks vehicles with graphic wraps
we moving pretty slow should of used a traffic app,
I just turn the music up
Gang Starr in the speakers green tea in my cup,
no stress I'm close bust a left at the light
then look straight ahead the address is in sight,
I love the skate park for it's positive energy
makes you feel far away from all the negative entities
Hook:
I'm overcrooks and feeble minds they can shove it,
take a stance find your bearings rise above it,
some grind so hard they end up off the rails,

as the power slides the pressure flips them off the edge,
couldn't ride it smooth no wax on the ledge,
to be blunt 50/50 chance they in fact lie
cuz they only looking out for their own backside
Verse 2:
the park is rather quiet though it's just past eleven,
all good, my favorite kind of session,
couple kids I seen before and homies Natron and Teague,
it's a young man's sport and we looking antique
but it ain't gonna stop us shit, fact we do the opposite,
as you age time is more prominent,
I feel at ease as I look around and start to cheese
tap my board Natron sticks a Kickflip with steez,
gotta pee so I slip out of sight in the trees
but when I come back, stop and I freeze,
I see someone walk away as homies get up off the ground,
they yell out he starts to run as he turns to look around,
sketched out he went the wrong way like a cowlick, we're
just in time to see his melon smashed like Gallagher,
hit by a truck as he ran into the street,
no one deserves to die but is this Karma for a thief?
Verse 3:
I turn away his mangled body makes me feel ill inside,
hear a groan look back man I guess he's still alive,
driver in a panic saying something bout a green light,
a crowd starts to gather and I hear a girl scream quite
loud, on the ground is a thirty eight chrome
that he pointed at my friends and their wallets and phones,
Natron walked forward, I see his hand advance
pick up a cell said, "guess I'll call an ambulance"

"Little Help"
Verse 1:
chaos of the day got me feeling somewhat amped
now I'm in the car driving to a kids summer camp,
it's volunteer work no pay, on the other hand
you could say it feels just like a hundred grand,
money is important but it can't buy that,
the feel you get from giving or when one gives back,
the camp's got a music program but supply lacks
so I brought some extra records and some old slipmats,
I park on time after all
look to the right see kids playing basketball
I see two that I often drive home on my way
know their parents out working real hard everyday,
a reward that's worthy,
today I'm the pitcher for a homerun derby
got my Rollins jersey hope I can keep pace
I'm constantly surprised by kids these days
Hook:
we can't do it all, everything by ourselves,
doesn't make you less a man if you get a little help,
we can't do it all, everything by ourselves,
you can be a bigger man if you give a little help,
we can't do it all, everything by ourselves,
doesn't make you less a man if you get a little help,
we can't do it all, everything by ourselves,
you can be a bigger man if you give a little help
Verse 2:
I walk into the office say what up my man Steve
this camp he conceived back when I was still a teen,
the first to arrive and the last one to leave
plus he got a wife and seed drives a cab in between,
and he always seems grateful,
once I asked him why he said the reason is shameful,
he used to run the streets clutching heat running shakedowns
nothing but greed ducking police punking fake clowns,
just living for the moment
for himself no one else everyone is an opponent
except his crew they were tight only ones he showed respect
twenty strong til one day he was the only one left,
alone they were all behind bars or in the dirt
and he took it as a sign look what life is really worth,
in time he found a way to give back to the community
and always feels blessed for the second opportunity
Hook:
we can't do it all, everything by ourselves,
doesn't make you less a man if you get a little help,
we can't do it all, everything by ourselves,
you can be a bigger man if you give a little help,
we can't do it all, everything by ourselves,
doesn't make you less a man if you get a little help,
we can't do it all, everything by ourselves,
you can be a bigger man if you give a little help

"Relax"
Hook:
Relax, cuz the day's all done,
moon on the rise goodnight to the sun,
but there's still time on the clock so we use it,
enjoy it to the fullest with your peers no snoozing,
Relax, cuz the day's all done,
moon on the rise goodnight to the sun,
but there's still time on the clock so we use it,
sit back put your feet up and listen to the music
Verse 1:
inhale the smell of the beach in the air
only light is the moon it's reflection the glare
off the ocean like floating, ripple in the waves
small crowd gathers casual around a bonfire to blaze
up the goo you can smell it smoke lingers in the air
as the fire cracks sparks pop and shoot like a flare,
grab a seat on an old log next to Zilla,
I give my homie pounds he pass the sinsemilla,
paper tastes vanilla chronic far from bland,
exhale and cough dig my feet in the sand,
so dank it should have it's own trophy like Lombardi,
peeping around for the cute brunette from the party
on the boat she said look for her at the beach later,
I met her once before she friends with my neighbor
see a silhouette of beauty by the water getting shells
think it's her, walk a little closer I can tell
Verse 2:
I walk back from the shoreline, just in case you wondered
conversation went smooth play it loose no blunders,
said she had to go but now I got her number
there's something that I love about nights in the summer,
I make my way past all the stones and driftwood
steps through the sand take me back where I just stood
place I want to be few feelings are this good,
chillin with the crew means more than a gift could,
crowd is six plus one
Woody B got a guitar Cobonics got a drum
Natron spits a verse and Eluh sings a chorus
couldn't do this in the day beach is packed full of tourists,
but the night is our chance, fun and be at ease
no stress of the day now we doing what we please,
gather for a photo as I feel the ocean breeze
throw my fingers in a V cuz what it be is peace

"Dreams"
Verse 1:
alone in a city not busy but empty
I'm attempting to speak but something prevents me,
wet feet cement seems to ripple like water
regress each step not forward like I oughta
thought I brought a backpack in fact a black sabre
got it strapped to my back if I attract danger
then I'm swinging bringing wrath the path a track pacer,
but everything's wavy it acts like gas vapors
in the air, just like origami,
city folds to ruins like it's taken plural bombings
more alarming no gravity I'm casually floating
contents past capacity the galaxy's open,
prisms rain from high while colored clouds swirl
through the sky demise of a smothered drowned world,
nothing is tangible nothing's what it seems
like living in a painting claiming reign to my dreams
Verse 2:
nighttime packed on a crowded rollercoaster
going nowhere fast cuz it's got a solar motor
bizarre I'm on guard with an empty shoulder holder
surrounded by protesters all holding posters
with my picture, words illegible
now the crowd of people all dressed like a festival
ethanol or medical smell is incredible
I sketch a fool skeptical to fit it in my schedule
impeccable, see the vapor
pen strokes to snakes and break from the paper
form a crater on impact slithering letters
spell directions to a weapon when you put em all together
feeling clever now I better make a move real fast
so I rush, no trust I must conceal tracks,
surreal paths, movements reveal vast
areas of various lands on sealed maps
