I'm a kid though I know that people can be deceitful
Good and evil sometimes it's hard to tell but he was different
An orphan since an infant he was always self-sufficient
Now his mission’s helping others, prepare for their lives
And develop their potential, from where it derives
At the time (yeah) I was just young naive and innocent
Unaware he cared and that this is significant
As a kid I was always met with indifference
Others never helping me to pursue my interests
Just ignorance, but this was a turning point
It opened up my eyes to more that just earning coin
I'm older now in hindsight I see it with clarity
The cycle of life, I push my pencil for posterity

If I—take a look at, peeking as a Rugrat
Got to go back to hide ‘n seek, that I was new at
Too bad, that I had to see to believe to do that!

Drowning in thought, I can feel my mind racing

Wondering how could life be so heartless
The homeless are starving, the crime rates alarming
It's not a screenplay for an actor to star in
It's hard when you can't see a light at the end
Of the tunnel, heal scars when I write with my pen

And losses, I try to make right of my sins
I write my wrongs in songs and deep poems
As a friendly reminder to always keep going
And appreciate my lawn when it doesn't seem as green
